As increasing numbers of international travelers make Las Vegas their destination, it shows the resilience of the local market in the face of the competition that exists in new markets with the construction of new super casinos in Asia and other areas around the world.  Considering the recent revelation that the new casino in Macao, China has outpaced the Las Vegas area for revenue generated, once thought impossible, it is a positive sign to see this level of income.  With the competition from overseas, it is even more impressive that Las Vegas has managed to post such strong earnings for the Las Vegas tours that are so popular with incoming visitors.  There are very few Las Vegas businesses that profit more from tourists than the Las Vegas tour promoters and proprietors who provide the up close and intimate look at the inner workings of the Las Vegas gaming resort destination in the desert. With the record numbers of international travelers, the flood of traffic is not only on indicator of the popularity of Las Vegas and even newer, less traditional markets, it is also an indication of the improvement of emerging economies in developing nations from around the world.  As living conditions improve in these areas in the international community, it becomes a source of new revenue for areas such as Las Vegas that depend on this type of traffic from visitors around the world.
