Along with the unbelievable success of the Tao Las Vegas at the Venetian Hotel, the creators of this Vegas nightclub are inaugurating a spanking new Roman/Mediterranean designed eatery called Lavo which can be found in the Palazzo resort hotel. This radical plan is inspired by the Roman bathhouses of ancient times. A great deal of effort has been put into the historical accuracy of this nightclub and into the small details as well.
This restaurant has enough seating for 300 people and includes a menu chock full of Mediterranean cuisine. Their menu is intended to encourage the sharing of appetizers and small servings, as opposed to large one-person meals. The restaurant segment also has an outdoor deck which can hold 100 guests and overlooks the well-known Las Vegas Strip.
The nightclub part has a state of the art audio and video system while live DJs are always available to keep the crowd entertained. The nightclub stays open six nights a week opening its doors at 10:00 pm and closing about 5 am. What the club doesn’t have is a VIP area, which the owners say is to have a more communal atmosphere.
Lavo always has lots of eye candy for the visitors (especially the male visitors). There is a model endlessly bathing herself in the restaurant, female dancers, and other models acting out different historical scenarios. On the patio, you will find a stash of hookahs with a “hookah master” helping you make the best choice.
This restaurant/nightclub is administered by the same group that opened Tao nightclub in the Venetian Resort in 2005. Ever since the opening of this nightclub it has been one of the most popular clubs in Las Vegas, visited mostly by celebs. Along with the Tao Asian Bistro and Tao Beach, these have been the highest grossing destinations in the U.S. since 2006. This new space will definitely be a huge draw for The Palazzo Vegas. It already has 3000 luxury suites, the best shopping stores, and Sin City’s finest restaurants and entertainment.
